Social Post Ideas skill for Grok

Most small businesses do not struggle to post, they struggle to think of something worth posting that is not a repeat of last week. This skill gets Grok to ask a few questions about your business and audience, then produce varied, ready-to-edit ideas rather than generic advice.

What it's good for

How the skill works

  1. Ask the user for the business, what it sells, who the audience is, which platforms they use, and the tone they want. Ask for any dates, offers or news to include. Keep this to one short round of questions.
  2. Suggest a mix of post types across the batch, such as behind the scenes, helpful tips, customer questions, product highlights, local or seasonal hooks and a clear call to action. Do not repeat the same format more than twice.
  3. For each idea, give a one-line concept, the suggested platform, the format (photo, short video, text, poll) and a draft post of the right length for that platform.
  4. Mark which ideas need something from the user, such as a photo, a price or a customer quote, so nothing is left to guesswork. Put these in a short list at the end.
  5. Finish by asking which ideas to develop further, then offer to rewrite them in a different tone, shorten them, or lay the chosen ones out as a simple weekly schedule.

Built-in rules

Example

You: “I run a small dog grooming salon in Leeds. Give me 8 Instagram and Facebook post ideas for March. Friendly, not cheesy. We have a spring offer on de-shedding.”
Result: Grok returns eight varied ideas with draft captions, covering before and after shots, a coat care tip, a meet the groomer post and the de-shedding offer, with [price] and [photo needed] placeholders flagged.

# Social Post Ideas

## Workflow

5. Finish by asking which ideas to develop further, then offer to rewrite them in a different tone, shorten them, or lay the chosen ones out as a simple weekly schedule.

## Rules
- Never invent prices, offers, reviews, statistics or customer stories. Use placeholders in square brackets where the user must supply the detail.
- Do not claim a topic is trending or performing well on any platform unless the user has supplied evidence or asked for a current check, and say clearly where the information comes from.
- Keep the user's tone and avoid hashtag stuffing, clickbait, and jokes about sensitive subjects such as health, politics or tragedies.
