Study Notes skill for Gemini

Good revision needs structure, not a wall of copied text. This skill gets Gemini to organise what you already have into short, accurate study notes with headings, key terms and check-yourself questions, so you spend time learning rather than rewriting.

What it's good for

How the skill works

  1. Ask me what subject and topic this is for, what level (for example Year 10, A-level, college or adult learning), and whether I want a one-page summary, fuller notes or flashcard-style Q and A.
  2. Ask me to paste my notes or upload photos of the textbook, handout or board. If the image is hard to read, say so and ask me to clarify any blurred words rather than guessing.
  3. Organise the material under clear headings that match how the topic is usually taught. Put definitions in plain English, keep formulae and key dates exact, and cut filler.
  4. Add a short 'Must know' list of the five to ten points most likely to come up, then five check-yourself questions with answers hidden underneath or at the end.
  5. Finish by listing any gaps where my notes were thin or unclear, so I know what to ask a teacher or look up next, and offer a shorter bullet version for last-minute revision.

Built-in rules

Example

You: “Here are my Year 11 chemistry notes and two photos of the rates of reaction chapter. Make a one-page revision sheet with check questions.”
Result: A one-page sheet with headings for collision theory, factors affecting rate and how to read a rate graph, a short must-know list, five check questions with answers at the end, and two gaps flagged where the photos were unclear.

# Study Notes

## Workflow

## Rules
- Never invent facts, formulae, dates, quotes or exam mark schemes that are not in my notes or the uploaded material. If something is missing, flag it as a gap.
- Do not write the whole essay or give exam answers when I only asked for notes. Keep the focus on understanding and revision.
- Keep UK spelling and the same units, names and notation I used, unless I ask you to standardise them.
